Turning Cheese Whey Permeate into Ethanol

Greenbelt Resources and NARE embark on a new chapter in the whey permeate waste industry.

Greenbelt Resources and New Age Renewable Energy (NARE) have embarked on a joint collaboration to focus in the dairy processing industry, more specifically the whey permeate waste that is generated and turning it into energy and a revenue stream.

Why this collaboration works?

NARE uses wastes such as acid whey, whey permeate, milk permeate and LP to convert it into bioethanol and a protein concentrate.

Greenbelt’s modular bioethanol production design allows for a distributed network of scalable system deployments and its automated intelligent process control system enables low cost operations.

Low cost, modular design

The award winning, EKOLABEL certified, ECOsystem developed by Greenbelt Resources provides a perfect platform for incorporating the innovative formulas developed by NARE resulting in a low-energy-footprint automated, modular cost-effective solution.  The synergy of the technologies from the two complementary companies allows them to corner the market together with a clear competitive advantage.
